Test for food intolerance
It is widely known that particular kind of food can pore over physiological and physical problems in pliable people.
Nowadays it is even more tangible because of the enormous food variety offered by the numerous manufacturers.
Last developments of British scientists in that field are towards the new specific food antibodies identifying food intolerance.
Some 2% of people worldwide suffer food allergies and 45% are predisposed to food intolerance symptoms.
These are different reactions of the body system and organs which appear later (till few days) after the consumption of particular food and is very difficult to identify which exactly is the food causing the symptoms. In general the food intolerance is a negative immune reaction to a definite food. It can result in Dysbiosis, inflammatory bowel disease, Candida species…
The production of such antibodies is the response of organism against substances attacking it. These antibodies combine with the proteins and are thus eliminated by the immune system in normal conditions. If the immune system is overloaded these complexes are accumulating and cause particular symptoms in these locations:
- respiratory system: rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma
- intestinal tract: vomit, stomach swelling, colitis, problems with body weight
- central nerve system: headache, depressions, hypermobility
- dermatology: eczema, Atopic dermatitis
The food intolerance test is a blood test that identifies the food products to which there is a negative response of the organism.
May be intolerance is the most appropriate definition because of the specific character of the results. This is the test that will not answer to questions like: “Am I allergic to this kind of food?”, but will direct your attention to some conditions that at first sight have nothing in common with food.
The main part of the analysis is the detection of presence of IgE antibodies (group of antibodies responsible for a definite type of immune reaction) that are indicators of food intolerance. These results are not a diagnosis but can be used along with a treatment or as directions for the limitation of a definite food. It is most appropriate to be used by people with metabolic disorders where a proper diet is the key factor in fighting obesity.
There are no age restrictions for the test application (it is not recommended for children only). No preliminary preparation is needed. Only few microliters of blood taken from the finger are necessary. The result is ready in 45-50 minutes. And this is only one of the test’s advantages along with the reliable results and the wide list of food groups tested.
I’ve done the test. What I should do now?
- Find out what the results mean
- Consider your diet
- Consult specialist – nutritionist
- Follow changes in your symptoms
- Think about introducing some of the marked type of food again
How to use the results?
The test shows a positive reaction (in pits marked in blue) which means there is an increased response of antibodies to particular food. The reaction can be less acute, acute or very acute. It is recommended foods to be stopped for at least 3 months. If there are a lot of positive reactions the elimination of food at once can be a big challenge. The following can be done:
- foods causing acute and very acute reaction to be avoided
- foods causing mediate reaction to be taken ones in 4 days
Still, the main rule is BALANCED FOOD.
