He developed and standardised the en bloc HoLEP technique with early apical release, a major advancement that significantly reduced postoperative stress urinary incontinence and transformed contemporary HoLEP practice worldwide.
Having performed more than 10,000 HoLEP procedures and trained over 600 urologists from more than 60 countries, Dr. Gómez Sancha remains one of the most influential educators in the field of endoscopic prostate surgery. He is also the author of *The En Bloc HoLEP Manual*, regarded by many as the definitive reference text on anatomical laser enucleation.
